    Default Sprint Vision plans

I'm looking at the Treo 650 w/ Sprint on Amazon's website. They've got a couple different options for data plans:

    $15/mo:
PCS Vision Pictures Pack: Take, upload and send an unlimited number of pictures with Picture MailSM. Includes unlimited web-based Messaging and Web access. (Requires a PCS Vision Picture Phone.)

    $30/mo:
PCS Vision Professional Pack for Pocket PC Phones: Whether you want to take and upload pictures, download games, or check office email, Sprint has a PCS Vision has it all.

Wouldn't the first one work fine, since it has unlimited web access? Or is there something I don't know about?

The $30 plan is for Pocket PC phones, not a palm phone like the Treo.

i'm thinking of renewing my contract with sprint, and picking up a TREO...never had a phone as sophisticated as a treo before...what do folks typically end up spending per month to get the most out of the phone?

    Default Sprint - $10

Actually, Sprint offers the "Sprint PCS VisionSM Access Pack", which offers just unlimited email and web (without picture messaging), so you can actually get unlimited internet at Sprint for just $10. It seems to me that this is by far the best option around.

I have heard of unlimited internet via EVDO but from Sprint but I do not know about $50. They do have a plan that I think dont quote me that allows you to surf and they bill you on the MB used. So if you pay for 20MB for 39.99 and you go over to 50MB they will charge you for that plan . 80MB is the max at $79.99 and if you go over that well you can consider it unlimited but you would be paying $80 a month plus other taxes.

I also read on their site with the new 6700 model (I think thats the model) that they have a PCS Phone to Modem plan thats $25 a month and allows you to use the new EVDO network with that PDA phone. So it not strictly a card in your modem if thats what you were refering to and would probaly be a better route to go since you will be able to use the conneciton on your phone and your laptop and not just one device as you would with the laptop. Just my 2 cents.

But if its $50 a month for unlimited internet and evdo speeds please let me know when its available.

    Default Sprint data plan

I am considering Sprint and when I built my plan online the data service was quoted at 15.00. See the pasted section below:

Unlimited Sprint PCS Picture MailSM – take, upload and send an unlimited number of pictures. Includes unlimited Sprint PCS Video Mail.

Unlimited Sprint PCS Vision Access includes:
    • Unlimited email and instant messaging
    • Unlimited Web access
