Are there any problems with going this way. I have a 600 and the bottom of the screen is starting to go--I want to stay with t-mobile, but do not want a blackberry
Do you mean purchase an unlocked 600 via eBay and use on T-Mobile? If so, then I don't see a problem as long as you buy from a reputable seller on eBay. Even when companies support the Treo, they really don't know much.

Default I calle Tmobile and they said treo will only WAP not real website

I called tmobile and i have a new blackberry 7105 at the moment but want to send it back to get the treo 650 and use it... the people i spoke with seem to think that they're service won't actualy work with treo except as WAP functionality .. so websites will be limited to wap sites and email will be the same way I currently have the "blackberry" data service ... if i take this sim and put it in a treo does anyone know if it will work just fine... or do you think that since its a blackberry data will be messed up?

I have T-Mobile and went from a Blackberry (several of 'em) to a Treo 650 and just popped my SIM card in, no fuss, no muss. I also cancelled my Blackberry service and just went with the T-Zones data plan for $5 per month. I get my home email on my Treo 650, web surfing, etc. all through the T-Zones plan. The only thing the Blackberry had over the Treo was instant push email. It just isn't a big deal for me so the other benefits of the Treo made the switch a no-brainer for me. I either check my email whenever I want manually, or I can set the Treo to check itself every 5 minutes if I want. I can change the interval for checking for new mail from every 5 minutes to every 4 hours.

What really discouraged me about the Blackberry was no camera, no external storage like an SD slot, poor web browsing, and the lack of the bazillion or so Palm-based apps available for the Treo.

Check out my post >HERE< - Asurion is replacing my Treo 600 with a T-Mobile SDA... It's not a 650, or a 700w, but atleast it's not a blackberry!

Question Will T-Mobile ever carry the Treo 700???

I have the 700w through Verizon currently, but Verizon sucks in my part of town. Everyone with T-Mobile gets great reception when I have no bars with Verizon.

Will T-Mobile ever carry the 700 ro better? I do not want to go Balckberry if I dont have to, even though the 8700 looks pretty good.

Thanks!

Anthea.tillyer...
Does Treo have a slot for SIMS? I don't currently own one but am thinking about getting one. Today I saw one of my buddies who has Verizon as his carrier. I didn't see any slot for SIMS behind the battery housing. Is there a slot for it?

I'm going to use it overseas too. Just want to be sure I can just get a different SIMS and drop it right in when I'm there.

Thanks,
PaTum

Your friend has Verizon phone which uses CDMA technology. T-Mobile, like Cingular, uses GSM. GSM wireless carriers use SIM cards. So, you'd need a GSM based Treo in order to use with T-Mobile. Current GSM models include the 600,650,750v. There are rumored releases of Cingular Treo 750 and Treo 680. Since they probably won't be released on T-Mobile, you'd need an "unlocked" model allowing you to use any SIM card. In your case, you'd use your T-Mobile SIM.

Hope this helps.
