no new treo's for T-mobile
Its for sure now. T-mobile was going to ship their treo 650's but didnot because of a new pda that they will be shipping this quarter. It will be another Ipaq with windows mobile. That kind of sucks, but hopefully with the coming out of the new treo 700, the 650's will be cheaper to find for those who are still looking.

Will that one be iPaq 6715?
I really doubt that T-mo will sell Treo650, let alone for cheap. Cause they seemed doing very well with 7100t.

Not sure which HP model because it will be brand new

That is what I was implying. the Treo 650 for sure will not be coming out ever for t-mobile. they have already decided to go with anohter new ipaq. I was implying that for those who are still looking for a 650 gsm that is either unlocked or cingular which can easily be unlocked, the price will probably go down with the introduction of the treo 700w which is to be released at the start of next year. People will want what is new and will be looking to sell their old ones.
I am not sure which ipaq they will be releasing, I have heard that it is one that has not yet been released, and T-mobile has not yet released any faqs about it. I only know because I know an owner of a T-mobile store that has told me so.
I wiil post when I have more info.

Maybe they get a secret cut from sales of the much pricier unlocked brand!!!

I hope T-Mobile figures it out before my contract ends... if they don't get newer Treo's (650 and/or 700w) I'm leaving them. I beleive it's a combination of contract dealing and lack of their (T-Mobile's) value of good equipement that keeps them from having the best of any phone. I made a mistake in settling for a Treo 600 and I won't repeat that again. I like T-Mobile's service and technical support but I need Bluetooth more.

T-Mobile will figure it out someday!
I truly hope that T-mobile figures it out one day! They must offer their customers choices and the Treo 650 is something that I have been waiting for them to come onboard with for sometime now. Ao I'm still holding out! I really do not want to change carriers! I have received excellent service throughout the years! Just the ability to receive and make calls while traveling internationally is one reason that keeps me on board with them. T-Mobile, get with the program.

You can use the 650 with Tmobile
You can buy this phone on your own and connect it to Tmobile. I agree Tmobile should carry this phone...but they do offer the most minutes for the money - so I'll probably get a 650 after the price drops a bit - the 600 is a bit flakey..

Who knows...maybe we'll hear of a new Palm Treo that will be on T-Mobile. It's an untapped market. There are plenty of T-Mobile folks who are clamouring for a new Treo 650 or whatever comes out next.

tmobile and treo
I use a Treo that I bought myself from Palmone. My service is Tmobile pay-as-you-go. It is fine. I used to have a regular contract with TMobile but then found that I hardly used any of it and so I switched to pay-as-you-go. When I am in Europe, I buy Pay-as-you-go SIMS there, which works out well (and much cheaper than TMobile Europe). So, I am glad that I bought my phone and have the flexibility of an unlocked set.
I should say that the problem with the pay-as-you-go that TMobile has is that it doesn't support data transmission. I found this out after I switched from my old contract (with DID support data). When I feel the need to use data again, I will probably switch to another company that offer PAYG with data. Not having a contract allows this kind of switch and you don't have to change phones, of course.
I would definitely recommend buying your own and then choosing your own carrier. Perhaps a good thing is to start with pay-as-you-go just to see how the coverage is. The P-A-Y-G plans (they all have them) don't have contracts, so you can change whenever you want.
I hope this was helpful.
