    Default Treo 650 on T-Mobile

Maybe they are waiting for the Windows Mobile Treo 670? I can't see them launching a Treo 650 at the end of October. It seems too late in the product cycle. If I hear anything, I'll post it here.

I did not hear that but it's great news. I already have an unlocked 650 that I got through Ebay and I love it. I guess tmobile has changed their mind. Of course, months ago when I inquired about the 650 being offered by tmobile they assured me that it would not be available through them and had that information verified through a friend of mine that is tmobile employee. That's the great thing about America though, you can always change your mind.

I called again today, and the person I talked to today could not verify that T-Mobile would have the Treo 650. The first guy I talked to a couple of days ago did a search (could hear him typing) and said that there would be several new phones including the Treo 650.

I guess I'll call a few more times over the next few days.

Not sure about a department to speak with. I guess some of us get lucky when we call customer service. I would hope that their customer service reps have more time to get familiar with a product than just one week. Anyway, I have been a big promoter of purchases made through auction sites. I have found that sometimes they are ALOT cheaper than buying it through through your service provider. Good luck!

That's true, October seems a bit late with a new product so close on the horizon.

    Default Treo 650: Bad News?

From my conversation with a T-Mobile sales representative in North County San Diego (CA) on Friday, he stated with certainty that T-Mobile will NOT offer the Treo 650. In addition, I spoke with a close friend who works as a store representative for T-Mobile and she told me that the Western Region Leadership Team also told her that T-Mo will not be offering the 650.

On the other hand, I called T-Mobile's customer service number today and asked the Sales Department when they would offer the 650 and she said "very soon!" Go figure! I have a Treo 600 and I'm tired of seeing my friends wave their nice Treo 650s in my face on a daily basis.

If coupled with my poor reception since relocating to San Diego, if T-Mobile dosen't offer this phone soon, I would be very willing to pay the contract termination fee to go with Verizon for better reception AND the Treo 650.

well, it seems that tmobile will either offer the treo 650 or not offer it. i am seriously considering getting the treo 650. right now i have verizon but i am not on a contract. i wanted to get the treo 650 with tmobile. however i was disapointed to learn that tmobile doesn't currently offer the treo 650. but here i was reading people buying generic treo 650's and using them with tmobile? should i just stay with verizon and get the treo 650 from verizon? i've read that some people say that the treo 650 with verizon operates slower than with another service provider such as cingular or sprint. that is, accessing email or the web is slower with the treo 650 on verizon than on another's network. also, i noticed that the price for an unlimited data plan with voice is rather high on verizon. it seems higher than if you were to buy a treo 650 with sprint or cingular. another negative with verizon is that they only use cdma technology and its not a quad band with verizon and so can't use the phone without a hassle internationally. any thoughts or suggestions? thanks

If you plan on travelling internationally, then a GSM is your best bet. In that case, you'd want to look at Cingular. If you're staying local, I think the best offer is Sprint with it's $15 unlimited data package.

    Default Treo 650 - T-mobile

For all the people out there waiting for a T-Mobile Treo 650....JUST GO BUY A GENERIC PALMONE UNLOCKED TREO 650 AND CALL IT A DAY!!! I have the phone. I have T-Mobile service. It's an absolute pleasure. It's ridiculous to wait for a T-Mobile version that might come out and ISN'T better than the generic unlocked one. There is no difference between the two except a T-Mobile one would have a T-Mobile logo but it wouldn't come unlocked. Is the T-Mobile logo that important??
