    Question

No official word yet, but possibly soon. My best guess would be June and that's a guess. There are rumors floating around regarding a company receiving three T-Mobile Treo 650 units. No confirmation or better yet visual confirmation of this. Stay tuned. Sign up for our newsletter - that's the best place to get information on new wireless providers and Treo 650 availability.

    Default T-Mobile 650

J&R in NY is advertising the 650 with T-Mobile service ($399 in Sunday NY Times ad but $499 on their web site. I've asked at T-Mobile in CO and CA, they didn't have the 650 and had no idea when they would be getting them.

Default T-Mobile Treo 650 - NOT IN THE WORKS!!!

I have heard from a couple of PalmOne sources that T-Mobile decided to take a pass on the Treo 650. They weren't happy with the reset problems on the 600's. If you are a T-Mobile user like I am, I suggest buying an unlocked generic Treo 650. You can wait for a possible change but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Sorry to be the bearer of this unfortunate news.

    Default Treo 650 Tmobile Availability.

I have a friend that works for Tmobile in the Dallas area and I was told that Tmobile had no plans whatsoever to offer the phone. Now I realize that companies say that just so nothing is leaked before they are prepared. I had placed roughly 10 calls to Tmobile from the time I heard about the Treo until just this past week when I got one from a different source and was assured that no information was available. That's when I spoke to the friend of mine. I know this post may not be very helpful but I thought I would at least let people know what I found out through someone who actually works for the company and manages a store. Would be great if it they offered early on so that everyone who wanted one could have it. Although I have found that I got mine cheaper through a certain auction site than I would have found anywhere else.

Good luck to those looking for one!

I wanted to make sure I understood your post. Are you saying that your friend said that T-Mobile has NO plans currently to come out with the Treo 650 or are they coming out with it?? By the way, where did you get yours?? Thanks.

Yes, currently the information I have is that it will NOT be offered by Tmobile. Now, as I said before, companies say things like that all the time just to keep the product leaks to a minimum. I will say that I trust this friend of mine very much and have no reason to doubt him. Of course, since things always start at the top and work their way down, it may be that the decision to offer the 650 hasn't trickled down to company wide knowledge. Is this making sense?

In regards to the other question about where I got mine. I went to a well known auction site (Ebay) to get it. Anyone who tells you that the 650 will run you $400 may be understating. I bid on 8 different auctions before I had the high bid to purchase. Not one of those auctions I bid on were under the $525 mark and then add shipping. The one I did get was a final price of $493 + $7 for insurance and another $45 for next day shipping. Total= $545 (Next day ship was all that the seller offered). Dont get me wrong. The money I pad was well worth having a phone that essentially replaces my laptop while I am on the road. I get email, browse webpages and so much more than I could do on my laptop that has no wireless internet service. Text messages are super easy as well. As with anything the phone takes a little getting used to. I handle it with supreme care right now because I have no case for it and am deathly afraid of scratching the screen. Adding the SD card for extra storage is as simple as inserting it into the slot at the top of the phone.

I previously had a Blackberry which I thought was all I would ever need but MAN WAS I WRONG! The 650 leaves the BB in the dust. Tmobile was very happy to note my account and record the serial number as well even though they dont offer the 650. I even got a break on the unlimited data package. The BB Unlimited was $29 and the standard unlimited data package was only $19. So I got a new phone and a small break on my bill every month

One last thing. If bidding on Ebay for one of these put several in your Watched Items list and be patient. Patience got me mine for under $500 which even with shipping was less than alot of other folks paid. I am sure that someone out there paid less than I did so good deals can be had.

I hope this answers any questions you might have had. If not then post another and I will reply as quickly as I can. Now I am looking for a great source for cool apps and games!

    Default no treo 650

tmobile will not be getting treo 650. I have gathered some info about this. Here is what I know:

tmobile has no plans to procure the treo 650. the treo 600 has been off their website for 5-6 weeks. people had speculated the 650 was coming. nope. the treo 600 debuted again on tmobiles website.

second and more important piece of information. tmobile is owned by DeutscheTelekom of German. no mention of the 650 is on their website. (but for a cool listing of phones we will never see check this out - you do not have to speak german to see this impressive list of phones)

the Nokia 9300 and the blackberry are their and the sony p910 is on the british site but the 650 is not.

tmobile is a huge company and could use their market power to get the 650 if they wanted it. last year before the RaZR was available in the states tmobile had the black and silver RAZR in germany, italy and greece

I picked one up in greece and had a domestic gsm chip put in. the tmobile rep in cincy about "#$@#" his pants when he saw it. That was 2 months before cingular had their hands on it.

I may just pay the 249 for the old one and take my chances

I hope tmobile spins off tmobile usa and voicestream comes back

    Exclamation I heared diffrent...

I was one of these pure suckers who purchased the IPAQ from T-Mobile and the dam thing has been a dust buster almost from the get go. The Cell Phone has bat reception, it hangs , to many problems to name them.
So i called T Mobile about 3 - 4 weeks ago to see what my options are and i had a longer chat with some guys from the data Support group. They told me the new phones comming would be the razar in the next few weeks and the are testing the Treo 650. When ask when the Treo would come he didnt say a fixed date but said it would be arround 2 month or more until the complet the testing.
So i dont know if he knows what he is talking but he was correct with the razzor so i give some value to his statement.

    Just my 2 cents

I called T-Mobile today. The service rep told me that they would get the Treo 650 on Oct. 27th. Anyone else hear this?
