What do you consider a normal drop? Just curious........
Have you tried performing a soft reset? If so, have you made sure that your network connection is still on "my wireless window" or "wireless window" (depending on your software rev) in the prefs app, under network ?
If neither of these options have solved it, you might try performing a hard reset and re-syncing you treo and try that.
