    Help if you can..

I've had many problems since the GPRS upgrade (I'm on T-Mobile); however, most were fixed when Handspring replaced my treo. But one problem persists...

when I bring my treo into an area where there is typically no service from t-mobile, my treo becomes frozen and I get the message on the top line in the phone app "SIM not allowed". The treo doesn't respond to the other buttons and I have to do a soft reset to access other applications and turn wireless mode off.

Has anyone else encountered this? I hypothesized that perhaps my treo was trying to connect to Cingular (which is available) but got screwy because they aren't using GPRS, so I unchecked automatic reselection for roaming. This didn't help.

I've found this site to be the most helpful of any support info available so I hope you all can come through on this one.

Replaced the SIM card and all is well.

    Thanks anyway!

Glad to hear that you were able to resolve the issue. Sorry that I wasn't able to suggest anything. Haven't heard of that issue occuring before, but will now add it to my knowledge base!
