I am a professor at a university whose mail server uses IMAP. Seems all the mail programs for the Handspring Treo 300 use POP3.
Does anyone know a way to work around this so I can access my email on the university server?
Many Thanks!

I access my IMAP mail through SnapperMail. Now, it's not true IMAP. It simply downloads messages as if it were a POP account. When I use my desktop client, all my email appears normally and I'm set up for IMAP. There are a few programs that support IMAP. Off the top of my head, I believe Mark/Space Mail supports it. SnapperMail has planned to release IMAP support in future versions of it's popular Treo email client.

how do you configure snappermail for IMAP? I have my pop configurations.
I think trying IMAP may solve the problem I describe below:
I have a treo 300, and use a work groupwise email account. I can send emails fine via my sprintpcs account, but am having difficulties accessing my work emails.
Either snapperfish does not see any emails, or it pulls all of my "tasks" and "appointments" from the server, not my emails.
Any suggestions? Will I face the same problem if I try the corporate version of treomail?
I am using my works POP configurations.
Also, I was wondering would I fare better finding an IMAP email program. And if so, how do I configure the email program if I only have my work's POP configuation. In other words, can I use the POP data for the IMAP configuaration?
