I have an Apple TiBook 1Gig and a Treo300 using SprintPCS. I want to use my Treo300 to connect to the internet wherever I may be in Sprint's service area. How may I do this? At what speed can I connect? Will this count against my minutes or is it part of the free SprintPCS Vision plan?

    Thanks...

Here's a link with all the info you need.
    OS X with Treo 300

    OS 9

I'm not sure Sprint had this in mind when offering unlimited data for $10 a month ;)

Can the Treo 300 work as a modem for a Windows Notebook? B)

I think it's do-able, but the software developer does not provide USB drivers. This leaves you with IR connectivity as the only option. I'm not 100% sure...

I have been using my Treo 300 wireless modem with a Win Xp Prof laptop. I bought the official Handspring serial cable at Staples for the $29.99 price. Later, I was told that you can find a combo USB/Serial cable (Aftermarket)on ebay. I would recommend going this way since it will allow you to synch and charge via the USB port, reserving the serial port for Wireless Modem to access. With my using just a serial synch cable, I have to exit the hot synch manager prior to using wireless modem.

I am very happy using wireless modem, since now I can connect via my laptop from anywhere, no more need to keep AOL as a back up dial up account when I travel!!!
