Treo 500 - maximum memory amount

please excuse this stupid question but until now, I couldn't find any reliable information about the maximum memory amount of the microSD card of my Treo 500. How much memory can it have? 2GB or 4GB?

I read 4gb at one time, but I cannot find the link. You should be able to purchase, try it and if does not work, return it.

Doesn't prove anything, but I notice offers on eBay for 8gb and 16gb cards "for Palm Treo 500". Worth trying if you can do so without committing your purchase. (And then let us know....)

I'm using a Treo 500v, and use a 4 GB SDHC card, I needed to install Route 66 on it..., that takes approx 2 GB... If it accepts a 4 GB SDHC, I see no reason why it wouldn't accept an 8 GB card...
