can't get data from my desktop to my treo 600
I have information on my desktop in Palm Desktop Software version 4.1.4.
I received a Treo 600 as a gift. I put the software on the CD that came with the Treo on my computer. (It is labeled Palm Desktop Version 4.1)
When I put this on to my computer I moved my user folder with my info into the correct place.
When i try to hot synch the Treo 600: 1) No information is uploaded to the phone, and 2) after I exit Palm and then re-enter it all my information is gone.
The information that is in my computer was originallly on a Palm V. So I thought maybe the problem was that I was migrating from such an old version of the software. But it doesn't look like it given that it is version 4.1.4.
Please any help is really appreciated.

Margo, did you check to determine if the conduits are properly set? They should be set to sync. If they are set to do nothing, nothing happens. If they are set to "device overwrites desktop," then you have a similar problem since nothing is on the device.

Not sure what a conduit is..
I am not even sure what a conduit is - so my guess is that is the problem.
I will look it up in the book that came with the treo, but if could tell me that would be great too.
THANK YOU. I guess I am really showing my novice stripes, yes?
Margo.

Hi Margo:
You should see the HoySync logo in your PC tray. Click on that and select "Custom". That will open a window that displays all the conduit settings. Look to see if they are set to Do Nothing, Syncronize The Files, Desktop Overwrites Handheld or Handheld Overwrites Desktop.
