Connection to Internet w/out wireless

I have recently switch form PPC to Palm. I am very please so far with the Treo 600 device on the Sprint network. Everything for me, so far has been great, praise the Lord. But I have noticed something interesting.

I can sync data to my device (normal)
I can can connect to the internet wireless through the device (normal)
I cannot connect to the internet on the device using my laptop's internet connection. This one seems strange. This was never an issue with the PPC. If the device was connected to the datacable/cradle it could get online using the internet connection of the computer.

Here is the question. Can the Treo 600 take advantage of the same type of "pass through" internet connectivity? If so, how is that turned on or activated? Thanks!

There is a program that you buy so you can connect your computer to the internet thru your phone. This program is great and I love it. The price is a one time thing and since you have a sprint phone like me, as long as you have unlimmited internet, there is no additional charge to sprint for connecting a computer to the internet using a phone. It's very fast too. With this program and sprint, you connect at a flat rate of 145kp/sec, 2 to 3 times faster than dial up. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I was, however, looking for a way to access the internet/mail from my phone through my computer, not vice versa. I understand that there is a WiFi sled device that will enable wireless (802.11) network access.

If anyone has any information on how to do this without the sled, just going through the PC, please let me know.
