Help-My Treo turns on in middle of night

Hi all,

Everynight my Treo turns on in the middle of the night and stays on until it is manually turned off. Does anyone have any idea why? It is none of the following.
(1) It does not happen at midnight so it's not the calendar causing it.
(2) No call comes in to make it turn on
(3) It is not email I have disabled the auto receive and it still turns on
(4) It is not when the battery reaches 100%, I thought perhaps it was to keep it from overcharging
(5) It has nothing to do with the computer sync cable; it occurs when that's connected & also when just the charging cable is connected.
(6) It is not the network time feature; that is disabled.

Any ideas? As you fellow treo owners know the display light is quite bright and lights up whatever room it's in so this has become quite a nuisance.

I've got mine set up to log off the cell network at night (I use Treo Tools) and I've only had this happen once - when I turned the network on and left it on overnight. Try shutting down the phone - maybe its like a power surge - a phone wave surge?

Thanks for your help. What is Treo TOols and where can I get it? I have tried leaving my phone with the wireless mode off but the power still turns on so I'd like to try Treo Tools to see if it helps.

http://www.notifymail.com/palm/#treotoolsfortreo600 is the site. Funny, I transfered mine over from my 180, but there's a 600 version. So far I haven't had any problems with the old version.

It's a simple little program that turns the phone off and on at teh time you choose. I wish all cell phones had this option

It does sound like you'll need to contact Palm about the ghost in your Treo, though.

Thanks for the link. I have called sprint about my ghost and have gotten nowhere. I will try this app to see if it helps.

My Treo does the same thing lighting up the room in the middel of the night and I have to roll over and turn it off. Oh well, if that is the worst thing that occurs with my Treo I am a happy guy!

Both my Treo 300 and 600 have turned on at night. It appears to be from an old mail program I don't use, which comes on and does a "Mail pull in 10 seconds" and give me the option to click OK or Cancel. When I upgraded to the 600 apparently that legacy app was transferred over....Problem is I can't figure out which program it is I need to delete....

Any ideas ?
