Need Help HotSync overwrites existing files

HotSync will over write my existing programs, and add previously dleted programs on my Treo 600, and will delte my passwords on my Treo. I'm new to sync'ing, but I'm sure there is a software switch that I shopulb be able to turn on/off to rectify this problem.

You should have your hotsync manager set to handheld overwrites desktop?

Right click the hotsync icon in the lower right side of the screen on the desktop computer, left click custom, you should see a list and in that list you should be set to "handheld overwrites desktop". If not, change it.

Im not at my home computer right now so if I messed up any details let me know.

Also when you select hotsync, custom, back up, change, it wouldnt hurt to check the box that says "set as default".

    Default Hotsync Issues

I didn't see anything that said 'back-up'. IAll I have, except my programs, is 'System", which I already set to "Handheld to Computer' and it is set as 'default'.
