Default Humming Sound

Hello everyone,

I have a Cingular Treo 600 and it has an intermittant humming sound while on a call. It lasts for maybe 30 seconds at a time, then will get clear as a bell for about 15 seconds; and then hum again. Any thoughts? Thanks so much for your help.

Seems that I've stumped everyone with this one. It's bad. I guess I need to try and find a used Treo 650 somewhere...

The buzzing noise that you describe is a common problem for the treo. It is the result of the battery cables being too close to the battery and causing feedback. You can try and upgrade your firmware (I believe to 3.05) or you can do the aluminum foil trick. I used the foil and hav not had this problem since.

Here is the link to the buzz fix:

good luck!

Well, I performed the operation to cure the humming sound. So far... So GOOD!
