Has anyone dabbled with Lightwave. I installed the demo, but never got a chance to test it out. I was wondering if anyone has used and to what success. Does Lightwav require Pocket Tunes to playback MP3's as ringtones?

    TIA

I've been using LW since it's beginnings. It's a great app and it's been fun creating my own MP3 ringtones and adding .gif files as picture caller id's. It does require the use of Ptunes.

I was using CallFilter which I thought was real easy. Basically, you can set rules..and set MP3's to act as ringtones. I'm anxious to give Ringo a test spin. I had Lightwave on my Treo, but didn't give it enough time during the trial. I don't believe CallFilter supports picture id's. This was something I enjoyed using my Treo 300. I might try Ringo and do some reading on Lightwav as a solution. I think while CallFilter does an admirable job with ringtones, it's real stregnth is appropriately enough "filtering calls". You can send certain callers straight to voicemail, etc. Powerful stuff if you need it.

Lightwav is fine. takes a litte to get used to but have not had a problem. have to switch off the option to use general ringtone from lightwav for all of the contacts you do not use lightwav for.

On the 600, CallFilter was king. Now it is abandonware. Ringo - good luck - some devices do well with it, most appear not to do so well. I use RingCare and it does very well. I have tried LightWav - worked great, great support - but way too many options for me.
