New Phone

Hey guys,
I just got my treo 600 replaced with a brand new phone. I've had no problems with it at all...but i cant seem for the life of me get my phone to re sync everything back to my treo. I sync'd my treo before exchanging the phone..beamed a few of my progs in the store to the new phone...and now I'd like to get all my contacts back.
Do I need to make a new user in Palm Desktop? cuz that didnt work...

I did this a while ago, but as I recall, when I first sync'd my phone I was prompted for a user name. I selected the one that remained from the old phone. (The other option is to create a new user...see below.)

I went into the hot-sync menu to customize and changed the settings to "desktop overwrites handheld" for datebook, memo, contacts, etc.

If you create a new user, it should work the same way just that the new phone will have a new user id instead of the one you had with the old phone. That's no biggy.

That's the way I sync'd my old Kyocera 6035 to the Treo 600.

nope...doesnt work...i keep getting the same error:

ERROR: 00008001
Your handheld has not previously been synchronized to the currently open Outlook profile (or you have changed your handheld user name).

I;ve now uninstalled and reinstalled the palm desktop software...selected my user name...synced...and still get the above error...

any ideas??
