I've had my new Treo 600 for two days. Here are some quick observations:
The shape, form, functionality of the phone is fabulous! Except for the center button on the directional key pad being too small for my big thumb, I've not found any gigantic flaws.
Be cautious using the program to transfer data from previous Palms to the Treo. It allows programs to move over that cause problems.
On Sprint, setting up the passwords and usernames (via the online site) is confusing and can cause your Treo to stop working if you are not consistent.
Most IMPORTANT, the Sprint technical support persons are hopelessly lost, especially when it comes to PCs E-mail and SMS. The 600 does NOT require Eudora or third-party software to make these features work. If your passwords are correct, you merely go the to the PCs Vision web site on the phone (the default home page) and go to the messaging area. The Sprint tech people kept telling me I had to download Eudora (and I kept telling them that's not what the manual says). Finally, level II tech support identified a password problem and all was solved.
The lack of a Caller ID history (unless I'm missing it) is unfortunate. I use it a lot on phones.

call history -> hit the center select button on the phone app. It brings up a new menu which you can access your history and calls, etc.

Thanks! I thought that was only ongoing calls....

push the center button and go to the call log. the arrows on the left indicate incoming versus outgoing calls. I'm not sure if missed calls show up or not.
Has anyone figured out how to synchronize with Outlook? (I agree - Sprint PCS terch support doesn't know how)

Argh Argh Argh! (Tim Allen grunt)
I've had my new Treo 600 for 23 hours now. Very nice. If you have problems activating it with Sprint.... They tell you to dial "##" plus 6 digits to 'program' the device. Do that, and if your phone still does not work, simply reset the device (pinhole on the back) and try again. That seemed to do the trick.
The enhanced swivel case is nice. The "premium" headset looks about the same...a bit fancier, mine worked for about 5 minutes, and is not working now.
The screen is almost too bright! Good thing there is a dim setting.
Guess I need to get an SD card for MP3... the built-in AOL IM "browser" (web-link)/SMS seems clunky. I'm going to try Verichat...that worked well on the Treo300.
Later!

I agree on the SD card. what software are you using for MP3?
