Default pictures from computer to treo 600

How do I get pictures already on my desktop to my treo 600? I have tried moving the picture to "pictures" in the palmone file, and then synchronizing, but that doesn't work.

Do you have an SD card? You could mount that and then drag&drop.

I don't currently have an SD card but no doubt will get one...but what do you mean by "mounting" it...how do I get the picture from my destop to the SD card? Is the procedure you meant?

Mounting the SD card means having it show up on your desktop PC as a hard drive. Then, you can simply drag any files you like from the PC to the SD card. There is a program -- I remember seeing a post on the forums here that will allow you to "mount the SD card".

There are also programs that offer desktop counterparts which I believe will assist with the management of photos on your desktop PC to your Treo. One that comes to mind is Splash Photo . Hello tadd5181,

This is Kevin from palmOne. There are two articles in the palmOne Knowledge Library that also may be of assistance to you.
"Transfer pictures from your desktop computer to your Treo 600 smartphone"

and, in case you have a digital camera

"Viewing photos taken by a third-party digital camera on a palmOne handheld".

    Hope that helps.

    Sincerely
    Kevin

    Kevin-
Thanks for your input. For a Windows user, that's a much easier way to get photos on your Treo.

It would be a nice feature on future Treo models to have a check box in Pref's allowing you to mount the SD card -- similar to the iPod where you can use it as a hard disk.

    Default Pictures too large

The pictures I have on my desktop were over 3,000 KB. Using Adobe's Photoshop Elements, I reduced one to just below 300 KB, but using "transfer" still didn't work as they are still too large. I tried using Elements to reduced the "reduced" file, to no no avail... it would not get any smaller.

Now what? Thanks for anyone's help.
