Problems with touch screen, slow reacting buttons, and more!
My treo 600 is having bigtime problems. First off, I've had it for nearly a year without any issues whatsoever. But today, its finally failing (well sorta). The Treo functions are responding very slow (directional button, keyboard, etc.), like a desktop computer when theres a virus or something is hindering it. The action is "delayed" not immediately like normal button pushing.
The touch screen doesn't work. I can dial out with the buttons but its a "delayed" reaction as well, as is with everything else I do on the Treo. I have a 1gig Sandisk SD card with mp3s which I use as ring tones. Whenever someone calls in, the music ring tone plays but it "stutters" and stops , doesn't not play normal like before. My "Pocket Tunes" program doesn't work either.
I've tried soft resetting it, hard resetting it, everything. Nothing is working. Please advise.
Thanks in advance.

Is it covered by insurance? If so, I'd call your wireless provider. If you're still seeing this happen after a hard reset, then I'm guessing it's a hardware issue rather than software related.
Even if you're not covered, I'd still call your wireless provider and explain the situation.

Treo Problem
Cingular/AT&T doesn't provide insurance on Smartphones. A few suggested it might be the battery that needs replacing, other say Treo hardware failure (which basically means, I have to get a new phone). What are your thoughts?

Touch screen not reacting
600's Touch screen slow and not acting at the place I'm pointing..missing the mark. Tried reseting the digitizer, no luck.

I had similar problems w/ one of my Treo 600's. Fortunately it was under warranty, and T-Mobile replaced it (had to replace it 3 times to get a good one though).
You can pickup used Treo's online for next to nothing. If your just has mobo issues, you could probably pick up one that has physical damage and just swap the innards. I've worked on a few of them... they're not hard at all to get into and repair.
I doubt it's actually your screen that's having problems... it's probably the main board or firmware or something. You could pick up a used treo (working) w/ a cracked screen on Ebay sometimes for as low as $50. That just might do the trick if you just swapped everything inside w/ yours (except the screen of course).
