Hello, I'm new to the Treo and I am considering purchasing one. I have done a lot of reading about them today and need some info. I'm interseted in the 600 but I like/need to surf the web from time to time and have read some bad things about the poor resolution. I can't find any pictures of what a website looks like on the Treo 600. Is it that bad? Does it take that long to load? I have a Nokia 6620 and can view almost any web page I want. I can load a web page in the 6620 in a minute or two. The 650 looks great but the $$$ is tough to part with.

Please tell me you opinions on the 600 and the web browsing. I know about the PDA formated pages but I need to view certian things on normal web pages for both business and personal use.

You can view most pages using the Treo 650. Speed is dependant on the network you are on...Sprint vs Cingular. I'm sure there are differences in both, but I have not seen anything documented. It takes a good 30-40 seconds to load a page that's filled with graphics. There are different browsers for the 650 and I've heard Xiino is the fastest of the bunch. I use Blazer and it's speed is fine. What type of pages are you looking to load and what are your speed demands?

As always, PDA based sites such as treomobile.com are still the way to go..

If you're sole reason for buying the Treo 650 is web access, then I'm not sure it's for you. What makes the Treo 650 so great is it's ability to do everything...web,email, organize, palm os app's, etc.

Thanks for you reply. I was just curious about the browers capabilities. I love all of the things it can do. I actually got one today and will now spend too much time learning all of the things it does.

I use mine all the time to look up stuff on the web. Have not had a problem with resolution or time. when I am loading a big site with lots of pics and I do not need them I turn pics off. works fine for me.
