Default Repair a Treo 600 antenna

I have a out of warranty 600 (which has been replaced by a 650) which has been dropped one to many times. The antenna is a loose (and looses signal strength). The unit is in great shape otherwise and I would like to pass it on to a buddy however I would like to get it fixed rather then just tossing it. Anybody have any suggestions for third party vendors that can fix the unit??

    Any help would be great.

    Tom in Seattle

I wouldn't know the first thing about replacing your antenna - but here's a place that sells Treo 600 antenna's for $19.95.

    Question Antenna Fix

Hey Tom - Did you every figure out how to fix the antenna? I'm in Seattle as well and have the same problem with my Treo 600.

While out of town, I lost the screw that holds the antenna in. To make shift, I used a paper clip though the hole and taped it in place. (Farmer fix but it worked for two weeks and got me home.)

When I got home, I couldn't find a replacement so I finally ran a slightly larger screw in. Yep, another farmer fix but it's better than new in tightness and I've never had to worry about it again. No pride for this repair but you sure can't beat the price.

FOOTNOTE: If you haven't lost your antenna screw yet, you likely will. Treo didn't take any effort to lock it tight and the antenna does move a little by design. I sure wish I could go back in time and use a little Lock-Tight on that screw. If you don't think I'm right... think about how nice your Treo will look with a lag bolt sticking out.
