SD Card: Anyone using 1GB

I'm considering upgrading my SD card. Right now, I'm using a 256MB but would like to move up. Is anyone using a 1GB. If so, what brand and do you have any problems.

Have had mine for about 3-4 wks. Could use a 2-3 Gig card already I have so many MP3's, Docs to Go files, programs on it! Its the coolest thing. Going to add Launcher X to it so I can move Avantgo and AOL to it and free up more RAM on the Treo itself.

Definitely upgrade to a 1G card. So far, Sandisk hasn't giving me any problems and there a great value. Good luck.

I too had a 256 Sandisk earlier. After some research picked up the PQI high speed (45x) on eBay. I am really impressed with the performance of this card. I don't keep apps on the card. I keep a whole lot of ebooks of Palm, Mobipocket, and Acrobat format besides of course DocsToGo files from PC and the inevitable MP3. The only piece of advice I would give is about transfering files to the card. If the app allows copy files directly to the card from pc using a card reader. Transfering files thru Hotsync is horribly slow

Hi Jace...I've got a Treo 600 and use a SanDisk 1GB card...I know it's not good to put all of your eggs in one basket but I have 56 ebooks, Word documents, pictures and a good deal of MP3's on the card and still have only used about 278 MB of it-I am in the process right now of putting an audio book on it which is 250 MB that I ripped from the CD's. That's a lot of stuff! I bought mine at Staples for about $99. These SD cards I am finding are sooooo much cheaper than the MS sticks for the Sony Clie's I used to have. Good luck!

I moved up to PQI High speed card recently. I find it quite good and reasonably fast (I guess its best one could get for a one gig). I bought it on ebay from a seller named DigiMe.

Right now I have a 126 SD card but would love to upgrade to the 1 GB. I am not sure however to transfer the info from the old card to the new card. Any ideas?

I have a Sandisk 512MB, a PNY 1GB, & a Sandisk 1GB.

No problems with any of these. You have to shop for prices. I paid $55, $50, & $40 respectively by shopping hard for price.

Get a card reader for file transfer or get a palm app called "Card Export II" that allows you read the card right off of the the Treo using Windows Explorer.
