transferring mp3's!!!!! - Treo Forums

I have all my music in windows media player and i want to move it to my palm but it always says that no synchronizing device was found. I have the hot sync cable connected and i do have pocket tunes. Is this because i dont have the sd card yet or is there something else i have to format in order for this to work? I also have palm desktop for my computer if this helps my situation. thank you for helping me with this

You need to have an sd card. You cannot put mp3's in the treo's RAM.

A 512 is plenty but it really depends on your needs and how much external memory you'll think you need. I have a 1 gig.

The faster the write speed the better. I have an Sandisk Ultra II. Got it at Costco a while back on a rebate promo they had. It was like $70 bucks or something like that. I also have a 1 gig Lexar 32x

If your music is in Windows Media player, it might be in teh .wma format. If this is the case, you would also need to purchase Pocket Tunes or Aero Player to play your music as they arent MP3s but Windows Media Audio files and the default format for most users.
