| Transferring music files to internal memory on the Treo 600 Hi,
I downloaded Pocket tunes for my Treo600.
I wished to transfer a music file to internal memory
so that I could play it and see how it works.
Hotsync on the Palm Desktop allows me to set the
following
Install Enabled - helps me download applications
Treo Pictures - Synchronize the files - I guess this
would allow me to transfer my pictures to
the memory
Install to Card - I do not have a card
What do I set to enable transferring my music to the
internal memory on the Treo.
Help? Suggestions?
Regards.
- Kumar

| The music would first have to be converted to a pdb (Palm Database) file first. There was a tool distributed with LightWav that would do this with wav files.
I would recommend using a SD card to store the music file.

| Music not playing through the headset - pTunes on the Treo 600 Hi Alex,
ok. thx.
I got a SD and downloaded the song there.
When you play the song using pTunes, the music comes
from the in-built speaker.
If you use the headset, the music does not play on the
headset.
What can you do to make the music play on the headset
and not on the in-built speaker?
Regards.

| Music wasn't intended to be played through a headset. There are a couple of programs that you could try to force the audio through the headset. Ideally you'd want to listen with stereo headphones.

| Headset / stereo headphones I guess you need a 2.5mm headset to 3.5mm headphone
converter. I was planning to purchase that.
However, I thought that even though the quality was not
great, you would hear at least something through the
headset. Not hearing that gives me a feeling that the
music played on pTunes is not coming out to the connector.
If what I say above is true, getting an adaptor would also
not work.
I will get a converter and test it out anyway.
Thanks for the feedback.
Regards.

| Well, you would be able to hear something if you hold down the answer/hangup button. It's just the way it's wired to detect the difference betweek a headset and stere headphones. Using a adapter (Palm or Seidio) should work without a problem. People have reported that one from Radio Shack would work, but I've been using the Palm (actually Handspring back when I got my 600) one for a while now.
