Treo 600 + AOL Instant Messanger = ? - Treo Forums

Hello,
waiting for my Treo 600 to get here from verizon (hard to wait)
i was checking out AOL Instant Messanger's site and i noticed they have a version out for the Treo 600 .. for $20.. im willing to pay the money but i was wondering who has tried it .. and i was wondering if it takes up air time .. because i had AIM on my V710 (hated that phone but that's beside the point) .. but anyway i'd love to hear from anyoen who has tried this software

.. by the way this is a SWEET community and it is bookmarked already .. i plan to use this site often

Congratulations!

You should check out VeriChat. It's multi-platform - meaning you can use it for AOL, MSN, Yahoo and IRC. Solid application. No experience with AOL IM.

Yes, this would count towards data -- since it's technically an internet connection.

I use AOL 3.3 on my Treo 650, and I enjoy it. However, it is for AOL members, so if you only want AIM chat, this would not work unless you are an AOL subscriber. If it is just AIM you want, Verichat does work well. There is also Mundu IM that might suit your purposes.
