Treo 600 not charging?

Just recently got a Treo 600 from someone who claims it is supposed to be working. However I have no other experience with Treos so I cannot assume anything yet.

I have the Treo which started up for a while when I first got it. When I popped the charger in, the red/green light blinked back and forth for a while. Then it completely died.

Right now, the wall charger is in and the light on that is on, but not on the Treo. The Treo won't start up with the charger in either, which I am quite surprised by. It seems completely dead.

The only two conclusions I have is

- Battery is completely dead and won't budge even when being charged.
- The side is a little bit out (the plastic). Would that do anything?

Any recommendations on what would be a good idea to do next?
