TREO 600 turns on and off

Hi this is my first post on this forum. So whats up to everyone here. I have a Cingular Treo 600 that I have had for a few months now. My problem is that it just started resetting itself constantly. Even during a phone a phone call it will reset it self. Does any one out there know a solution to my problem???

I too am having this problem. Mine started after a few months after replacing the battery. First it seemed that it would do it when it would get bumped or shook a little harder than normal. Although now I have noticed that it has even turned the wireless off just sitting on the table. Also, there seems to be an associated problem of more soft resets. I have had it apart a few times to try and see if there were any loose connections. Found none. I have also hard reset it and reinstalled software very slowly to see if there was a conflict or corruption. So far no luck. I'm so frustrated I think it might be only fixed by throwing it against a wall, so it won't turn back on anymore

i'm having this same problem with my treo turning on and off. that's the reason i joined this forum. i don't know wether i should just get a new phone. i think it happened first because i dropped it (i know, ...not good). but ever since, it connects and disconnects by itself. sometimes its because it moves a little and sometimes just because. also, the buttons just freeze.. this doesn't happen when i'm using the calendar or any other feature. i'm a cingular user. i have tried restarting, reseting, re-everything, but nothing seems to work.
and also sometimes when i press a button to change applications, instead of doing click, it does click-click. later, click-clik-clik and then clik-clik-cli-cli-clik. when reseting it goes back to normal for a while

help. please.

I want to download pocket Quicken and sync it with my computer and treo, but it says I must have Palm OS v3.5 or higher. I only have v1.0. Can I download the lates version, or do I have to get a later version treo? Has anyone successfully sync-ed with Quicken?

Also, is there such a thing as software with maps of the US which doesn't sync up with GPS? I just want to refer to existing maps on my treo, but so far I only find map software that involves connecting to the internet or gps.

you are in a thread with the title "treo turns on and off". i reccomend opening a new thread for your problem, with a topic that says something like "sync with quicken". people with your answer won't find you inside this thread.
