Default usb connection

:mad: since october my device has connected fine to my computer...now I get an error saying 'usb not recognized,one or more devices are not recognized or has a malfunction,please disconnect and try again..if problem persists replace device'...any ideas?

Sounds like the connectors on the usb are bent. Its a very common problem. Many frequently have had to wiggle the usb to get it to make contact. If you google "USD device recognized treo" you get quite a few hits. Do you have an IR on your tower? First I would try to hold the conections together firmly while syncing.

thanks james, I am trying that now and see what I find...I have been holding the cable for connection but nada still

That last connecter get bent easily. I have bent mine back in with a paperclip a few times. Do you have a IR on your tower?

I had a similar problem a very long time ago and I had to get a serial cable.

What version of windows are you using?
