vertical lines on lcd that go away when pressed I have a well-worn gsm Treo 600 whose case is starting to separate. The screw that holds the antenna appears to have pulled through the plastic, and the corners of the case appear to part slightly now.
I now notice that I occasionally get vertical lines on my digitizer, and if I either tap the phone on its side or press the case together at the corners or around the bezel, the vertical lines go away. Does this mean my lcd/digitizer is going bad or is it just that it is not being held securely by the case anymore? My suspicion is that I need to replace both the case and the lcd/digitizer, but I thought I would ask minds greater than my own.
Also, the four buttons above the keypad are pretty worn; I am beginning to think I should look for a refurbished phone when I start to add up the cost of a case, buttons, and lcd...but it would be so much fun to fix it! Sigh...
Thanks!
