which sd card?

ok now that im gonna be a proud owner of a 600 , Im already shopping for a sd card and a fm transmitter so I can listen on my bike, and my work truck. problem is I know nothing about the sd cards.. I see they have 1 and 2 gig.. how many songs. or storage? is that? i guess im asking how many songs will I expect per gig?
sorry for all the questions but I wanna make wise purchases

Welcome to the Forum and congratulations on your 600. SD cards are great devices. See if you can find one that also comes with a reader/writer as well. They make great pen or thumb drives. Sandisk seems to be the best value for cards, but there are alot of other makes out there. Don't buy the first one you see. Walmart, Circuit City, et all have them by the scores. I wouldn't recomend getting one from the place you purchased your phone, they tend to be a bit higher than the rest of the market. They can also be had online at any number of places. As for music, the average is 40 four minute songs per 128mb. A better rule of thumb is a meg a minute of music at 128kps. hope this helps
