1.0 GB SD Card - Treo Forums

Please help me! I just purchased a 1 GB SD card for my Treo 650. When I insert the card it beeps to indicate installation, but at any given time will beep again and say NO CARD INSERTED. This will happen time and again...WHY? Is it the Card or my Treo 650? Is it something I did?

This exact thing happened to me when I bought a SD card in eBay and it turned out to be fake/counterfeit.

What did you do when you found it was fake...did you call Ebay and PayPal to get your money back?

I called Sandisk and gave them serial # on back. They confirmed it was fake. I filed a claim with paypal and ebay and got my money back.

what type of card is it (brand)? Did you try to format it? Some brands dont necessarily work right away. I bought a 1gb Sandisk off eBay on Friday, got it yesterday, popped it in and it worked instantly.

Easy way to tell if its real. Goto "Card Info" app, scroll down to bottom and make sure it says:

Sandisk
Secure Digital Card
Device Id: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

If it doesn't say Sandisk, then it's fake. Formatted or not, it has to say Sandisk.

Sounds like yours is real. Mine didn't work even after I formatted it.
