when i try to hotsync it hotsyncs an old user. i deleted that user, but now it won't sync my current user name. what is wrong why won't it work?

I (mostly) successfully replaced the screen, and the brightness is very low. I did bring the brightness adjustment UI, and moved the bar all the way to the right, and it still is very dark. Any hints? Other than that, things seem to be working fine.

If we click on our hotsync icon theres a custom hotsync option giving us various options for each and every conduit and wether handheld oevrwrites desktop or vice versa or do nothing. I understand its purpose and working except for what the backup option does ? What does this back option do please ?
