| 1gb or 2gb for 650 and importance of speed Just got my new treo for Christmas and was hoping for some advice on weather to get the 1 or 2 gb sd card and was also wondering weather the speed of the card was realevant to the needs of the 650. Mp3 and pics are my 2 most common large file needs. Any advice would be appreciated if some one has a favorite brand or speed or store I would be all ears thanks much!

Brian | Hi, Brian. Choosing between the 2 cards is really just a function of just how much storage you'll need. 1 gig is a lot of space and should suit your needs fine for mp3's and pics. But, with the Treo and all its possibilities, you may find yourself storing music videos, TV shows, movies, etc. Even with all that, the average person could probably make due with a 1 gig. I use a SanDisk 1 gig card and have a folder for work stuff, and on the rest I currently have the Fantastic Four movie (200mb), a bunch of mp3's, bunch of pics and a few music videos. It suits my needs fine, although I probably see a 2 gig card in my future, once prices drop.
As for where to shop, just google. Lots of rebates going on at different places, ebay's always good and they've got them here in the ET store, as well. Welcome, and hope this helps.

| I was wondering about the speed to. I really like SanDisk cards. I currently have only used the regular cards. Do the Ultra II, or the faster cards make a difference in the 650's? |

I've had the card nearly full at one point with 4 dvd's and all my other stuff without any noticeable performance problems whatsoever. Maybe someone else here can speak to it?
