what about the new treo 700p?
I get mixed signals on wether it supports 2 or 4gb cards.

The 650 natively supports 2gig cards. With a ROM hack, installing the FAT32 driver, you can go to a 4gig card.
The 700p was advertised to work with 4gig cards, but Palm's actually "conducting testing" at this time.

An extremely knowledgeable Treo expert named Shadowmite runs a site for ROM hacks and many other things. It used to be a somewhat dangerous process but, with the invention of the "ROM tool", it seems pretty foolproof. I was planning on doing it myself until I ordered the 700p.

4 GB support with the 650? 
Ill take a look at it, and see if I am willing to give it a try. I'll let ya know how it works out.
