    Default 650 and error message (0 x 121A)

    Hi

recently purchased a second hand Treo 650 - and entered my MMS and WAP settings.

When I try to access the net I get the following message:

Error: Incomplete Setup. Please check network setting: (0 x 121A)

When I try and use the mms the out going message sits at 0% then the message "could not be sent - the networking connection was interrupted".

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Hi and welcome to ET:

Why not post the settings you input? You should also provide your carrier's name.

Out of curiosity, have you sent MMS messages before on other phones? Not all carriers allow or are set up for them. Also, do you have a data plan for your Treo? Some carriers require a data plan to send MMSs via the Treo.

    We will try to help....

Steve has a good point the more info the better.

Usually your carrier support team will walk you through setting up the treo. You can try the palm sites knowledge base. You enter your carrier and the error code and maybe something will come up.....but your best bet is the 30 minute call to your carrier.

    Hi

    thanks for responding.

I am with Virgin Mobile on a 1 gig data plan.

Their response to my request for help was "As we don't sell or support your particular handset we are unable to assist you with the installation of these settings. "

    However they listed the general settings that are needed to use MMS and access the Virgin Vibe below;

    MMS Settings (Picture Messaging)
    APN - VirginMMS
    Homepage - http://mms.virginvibe.com.au:8002/
    IP Address - 202.139.083.152
    Port Number - 9201

    WAP Settings (Virgin Vibe)
    APN - VirginWAP
    Homepage - http://www.virginvibe.com.au/wap
    IP Address: 202.139.083.152
    Port Number: 9201

    Cheers

    Hi:

From what I found out ther it looks like you have the correct settings. Suggestions:
    1) After entering the settings, did you soft reset your Treo?
    --OR--
    2) Try this for the WAP homepage:
    www.virginvibe.com.au/wap/default.wml
    --OR--
    3) Try port 8070 instead of 9201

If nothing works, I am stumped. In that case, can you connect to any WAP sites? If you can, I will nose around some more.

    Let us know....
