 |  650 and tomtom 6 Guys, I was playing w/ my tomtom and checking the upgrades and my tomtom 5.21 on my 650 said the tomtom 6 was avail. has anyone loaded this on a 650? I did a search here and I found ppl asking if it works w/ the 680 and 700's but I couldn't find anyone loading it on the 650. |

| jhowle: I tried google maps and it was cool and all. However, even though I had the app on my card, the program dropped the maps in my Treo memory. I couldn't understand why 4-5mb disappeared so fast and then I tracked it down. It will be awhile before I try that again. SteveTaz |

| Why is this google maps in my thread? what does that have to do w/ my post on if anyone tried installing tomtom 6 on a treo 650! PS has anyone compared the difference between the 2 unless I missed it from tomtom.com I couldn't find any link on the site to compare the two. |

| Been a long time user of TomTom Navigator 5 on Treo 650. Works great. I bought new maps on DVD. Has anyone installed new maps? Instructions are not good. Has anyone replaced Navigator 5 with Navigator 6 from the DVD and the TomTom home app? Is it recommended or required?

|  Navigator 6 Smartphone on my Treo Yes, I have installed it on my 650. I don't have a point of reference though, since this is the first time I've tried a GPS. I'm with-holding judgement just yet because I have many questions, and found instructions inadequate. I was unable to install the program on my Mac, even though it's on my Treo. I can't plan anything in advance while I'm inside, near as I can tell. Nothing on the computer, and if I call up the program on the Treo, it just complains that it doesn't have a GPS signal. So what, I have to sit in the car to do this? Again though -- I may be missing key information to make it work like the good little whizbang I expect. Any suggestions where I can find better help than seems to come with the program? |

| Wuzzup! There is a 6.0 update on the TomTom 6. I'm sure you'll find it soon enough. Oh, by the way, I do have the TomTom NAVIGATOR 6 on my Treo 650. A full working version, and did'nt have to pay for it at all. I found this great program that allowed me to flash my rom. I am able to crack demo, and do other things with it. Xda-developer is one of the site where you can get hacks, programs, software and tweaks for Palm OS, and other phones as well. I don't recommend flashing your rom if you do not know what your doing. Just be careful and goodluck.    |
