650 Backup from one user name to another

Please help.

In the process of updating the firmware on my Sprint 650 I lost some software and my ringtones.

Another username in my Palm desktop has the old programs and the ring tones.

Can I import these programs and ringtones to my current username?

I don't want to use the old user name files or the old username.

If this can be done please tell me how.

Yes, this can be easily done for you:

Go to the C:\Palm\(username)\Backup folder of the old user name
Sort the list by type and name
Recognize the .prc files, these are the applications
Open Quick Install or the Install Tool
Drag to the new user name the apps that you want to keep from the old user name
.PDB files can be tricky, be careful with these
For best and most stable successes, install only ONE app per sync

Another option is to download all of the applications fresh from the websites of the developers. This will not get back your information that you may have used within them, but will give you the most stable versions of the applications with which to use.
