    Default 650 Camera Not Shooting?

Odd thing here. I'm only able to successfully take a photo 1 out of 15 times on my 650. This is only my third day with it. So I might be doing something wrong. But the manual and my little research hasn't helped. Anyway...

I go to the camera app, use the 5-way button controller and get the middle "2x01x" higlighted, find something and then press the middle button on the controller. Instead of getting a photo, the device beeps and then shows me a screen called "alerts". There are "0" alerts listed, and then at the bottom of the screen is "done" "snooze" and "clear all" How and why is this happening. I have tried dozens of time to take a photo and it won't work. but it worked fine the first day I had it.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Although what you are describing isn't exactly what happened to me when I first installed my Treo, I thought this worth a mention. I had software installed from a Tungsten E when I installed my Treo software. I selected the profile I had used when I would sync the Tunsten and it ended up installing a lot of Tungsten software on the Palm, one of which would not allow the camera to work properly. The easy fix was to hard reset and select a new profile . . . I don't know if this is your problem or not, but thought it worth a shot . .

Default Are you holding the button too long

My wife did this when she got her Treo. When taking a picture, she held the button down too long and things other than taking a picture started to happen. We couldn't figure out what she was doing wrong. I could take a pic and she couldn't. Eventually she realized her error and just pressed and released the center button.

Perhaps this is the issue for you as well.

Yeah, my gf did the same thing when she tried to take a pic with my Treo. Then I'd take a pic and it would work fine. I'd hand it back to her, and she'd get the alert screen, lol...

Wow. Thanks, everyone! Sure enough...just tap the button for the camera and it's fine. Hold it down too long and I get the Alerts box. Wow. Thanks so much!
