650 doesn't support voice-activated bluetooth dialing!?!)#

From the Treo 650 Wireless Headset manual:

"NOTE The Treo 650 does not support voice activated dialing through Bluetooth wireless technology."

How is this possible? What's the work-around??

There is no work around, it just doesn't work. You cannot initiate a call to any number other than the last number dialed without touching the phone.

I too wondered how they could justify charging $30 for a feature found on almost all cellphones (everything has voice dial) and then disabling the most useful feature. Kind of like the setting for sounds and such, there should have been a profile app built in (BTW if you haven't already you should check out Profiles, it's free and should have been included with the device. i guess its because the bluetooth application for the treo is not used only for calls but file transfer, Hotsync etc.. its constantly open for signals..
