A hard reset should have returned your Treo back to original state. So first of all, lets make sure you correctly performed a hard reset. Holding down the Red Phone Key, the whole time you use the stylus to reboot the treo, don't let go of the red key until you see the Gray Palm logo. When you do, release the red phone key and you should get a message that says "Erase all data?" use the up of the 5 way navigation key to select yes. If you didn't get the Erase all data message, you haven't successfully performed a hard reset.

Before you sync all of your data back to your profle, make sure that you remove the "Warden application from your back up folder in your profile. You will most likely find it in C:/Program Files/Palm/yourusername/backup. Remove Warden from that folder before you sync back.

Since the Hard reset didn't work, I doubt this one will, but it might be worth a try.

    1. Press and hold the UP button on the front of your device.
    2. While holding the UP button down, use your stylus to push the Reset button on the back of your device.
    3. When you see the "Palm Powered" screen appear, you can release the UP button.
    4. Remove any recently installed applications that may have cause the problem.
    5. Do a Soft Reset.
Sorry Man, I am out of suggestions . . .

You may want to try a Zero Out reset.

No such luck... the palm powerd screen just flashes on then goes black... into restet! Thanks for the advice! Guess I'll go deal with the cingular store... THIS DAMN THING IS ONLY 6 WEEKS OLD! and it's only like the 6th or 7th third party s'ware I've tried! I was a good boy & didn't load a bunch of crap on here so I really didn't figure I would have to deal with this!

I will be surprised if Cingular doesn't do the right thing and issue you another one. Let us know how it goes.

Please keep an eye on the post... may have issues with that.. is there a way to only restore contacts, tasks ect. NOT 3rd party s'ware? or do I just remove alll those from the folder stillrockin mentioned?

If your wanting to start over from scratch, when you sync up the first time, select a new username, and you won't put any applications from the last profile on the Treo. The only real downside to doing that is if you have purchased software that verifies you through your user profile. If you don't have any of that installed, that might be the easiest way to sync back up.

Have not purchased any s'ware yet... Long story short, Dad just passed away and have been using Treo to store A LOT of important & senitive info... SSN's, policy info and contacts... tons of cantacts. was looking for a good security s'ware when I installed Warden ~ trial!

So, anyone know of a good voice lock/securtiy package? Tried VoiceIt ~ trial... didn't care much for that! Warden looked like a decent package, but here we are! Any suggestions from you fine folks!? Thanks ~ Joel
