This is a discussion on 650 not rcving calls on tmo service within the Treo Smartphones forums; It should look the same as the other one on the outside it has to fit in the sim card ...

It should look the same as the other one on the outside it has to fit in the sim card slot snugly. The difference is internal architecture and storage capacity.

Tonight something very good happened...
I took my tmobile simcard that was not working properly with my treo 650 (making calls OK, internet OK, No incoming calls, NO incomings SMS) and decided to put it inside a Tmobile phone (not an unlocked).
When I turned on this tmobile phone and the phone logged into tmobile network it appeared the icon of a voice message (even if I was sure i did not receive any calls in the meantime). I called the voice mail center (123) and had confirmation that I had no messages in my voicemail.
I turned off the phone and placed the sim back into the treo 650.
Turned it on and.... tried to call it. TA-DA !!! It rang !!! And now I can receive incoming phone calls and SMS !
This is amazing...
If I think about the steps I took, the only thing that come out to my mind is that I had never placed my sim in a Tmobile phone before.
Before the Treo 650 I was using an unlocked European Sharp GX20 (not Tmobile branded).
When I received the Treo, I took the sim from the Sharp phone and placed it in the Treo.
So I believe that when I placed the sim in that Tmobile phone something happened in the Tmobile cellular system (something like a last automatic activation process) and now the sim can receive incoming calls and Sms.
I'll keep this thread posted to let you know if the situation is stable.
Right now I am really happy to fully enjoy my Treo.

It has been about a week since I have been able to receive calls and incoming sms messages with my sim and I can confirm that everything is stable.
I suggest to all people having the same problem I had to try to place their t-mobile sim in a T-mobile branded phone and see if this solve their problems.
I thank the people in this thread for their support and cooperation.
All the best to all of you !
