    Favorite Adjustable Brightness

    Hi All,
I just discovered something cool. I did a search on "brightness" and "Dim" but didn't come up w/ much so I thought I'd go ahead and share it.

Occasionally the brightness of the unit is too much for me, and quite by accident I was delighted to discover that if you hit the "Alt" and "Caps" buttons in succession the unit will toggle down to "dim" and back again.

I apologize if this was on page 1 of the manual in bold and everybody already knew it; but if you didn't know & wondered............

Nice tip. But I couldn't get it to work. Are you on a 650?

    Hello,

This is Kevin from Palm. I'm not able to duplicate this on my device either (Sprint Treo 650). The quickest way I know for bringing up the Brightness slider is to tap the Option key (solid black circle) and then the P key. Perhaps the Alt/Caps combination works on other branded 650s?

    Sincerely
    Kevin

    Default Mis-Spoke on the keys

    Hi,
    Sorry about the delayed response.

I have an AllTell Treo 650.

The key combo is not really the ALT, but the SHIFT/OPTION (blak blob button bottom left) and the bottom right CAPS arrow. It won't work w/ the caps button on the left, just the right one.

    Sorry about the confusion.

Well, I am a noobie as of this week and I have not got to this feature yet - thanks Kevin, this will be useful. Damn, this thing amazes more each day!
