Default AGGGHHHH!! new treo 650

I am a new treo 650 owner. This is my 4th palm device since 1997.

I can honestly say it has given me the MOST grief.

1) where has grafitti gone? (or Jot - which was excellent on my treo 180)

2) how the $%^&dy hell do you get email to work with outlook?

Specifically - how do you get deleted mail on the treo to be removed from outlook. over the weekend I spent a happy hour deleting 60 odd mail messages at home on the treo feeling all smug. when I hotsync at work. not one is deleted from my outlook mail box. All mails in my outbox are sent OK, just no deleting going on! I have it set to "delete mail from server"

I also would like to be able to sync with a phone call as well as with the hotsync. Perhaps once a day, no more. My IT department have struggled for hours on this and can get it to EITHER sync with GPRS OR sync with hotsync, but not both.

I'm not a genius and I don't see how a product can be sold as having all these features when you would have to have a masters degree in "phone technology" to get them to work. The manual is unhelpful and the palmone website has many questions with few answers.

Thats got that of my chest - please please if anyone has got this working at least tell me it is possible! I bought the treo to stay loyal to palm and because I like grafitti and qwerty keyboard entry. I now have several colleagues gloating over their windoz phoned syncing effortlessly. I need a productivity solution not a waste of my time and the IT departments time.

Regards

philip

I'm not sure if JOT is compatible. Palm suggests MobileWrite.

Default exchange server

i do have an exchange server - it works fine. but cant sync with hotsync as well. If I had known that i could ONLY sync emails over the phone - then the £50 a month all inclusive balckberry would have won hands down in terms of price. As it is I have now to limit the number of phone syncs to 2 a day - not ideal when i can get up to 100 emails a day!

Treo definitely do not make it clear you can't hotsync email and also active sync when away from your desk (as windoz users seem to be able to do effortlessly). Seems to be a bodged together system.

PS Jot was free on my treo 180 - do I have to pay for Mobilewrite?

Yes, MobiWrite cost $$$.

The Blackberry connect should be availiable thru your carrier now and would do what you are asking to be done. Else, you would have to use Good or Intellisync to sync more than just mail over the air.
