Default Another 650 problem

I don't know about this device, It's definitley suspect.

I have this email sitting in my Vesra mail box on my 650, When i click to view this email. My phone resets it's self. ONLY this email, no other email makes it act like this. Just this one email sends the phone into reset. I can't even delete the email. and it's a normal email from a person I always get emails from. all of a sudden it's acting like this.

anybody know why?

thx.

Sounds like you have a corrupted file.

The following procedure will erase all the VersaMail email and settings stored on the Treo650. Server messages will not be touched

Use the file manager Filez to delete the following files:

MMIDCache0 through 8
MMNotify Send
MultiMail Attachments
MultiMail Disconnected
MultiMail Messages

Basically any files with a creator asc3 or asc4 that is not in ROM. The creator is visible via 'details' in Filez.

After doing this, launching VersaMail will bring up the initial setup wizard. Redefine your account and preferences and you should have a working VersaMail again.
Personally I do not recommend using Versamail it's not very stable! Have a look at Snappermail.

Iron Chef
I had the same prolem, luckily I was able to get past it after resetting 4 or 5 times. It was a junk email too! Nice to know I am not alone with troubles.
I will definitely check our Snappermail!

Not generally but than again it is a fairly new style of connector. At least for the treo it is. I think the tungstens have used these for a while. I haven't really heard of any issues with them. That's odd that you have seen this twice already. Are you sure it's the connector and not a hot sync mgr issue?

Yeah the first time around I spent over an hour on the phone with sprint's treo expert trouble shooting every posible option. finally I told this expert that I thought it was a sync wire problem, she said it was more likely my pc/usb connection, so I held my phone up to my pc speakers and pluged in another usb device which causes windows xp to make a sound when ever you connect/diss-connect a usb device. told her nope, my pc/usb is fine, so either your phone is shot or your sync wire doesn't work like I suggested. she said, oh it must be the sync wire, i'd return it to a sprint store. so I did and that fixed everything. now it's back to square 1. I wounder how much trouble sprint will give me to get yet another replacement sync. wire. Treo 650, not your average cell phone, not your average cell phone problems.
