Any 650 offers out there?
Are there any deals for Treo 650's out since the 700 has been released?

Cingular just lowered the Price of their 650's to 199 with a two year contract. Rumor is, that they will be picking up both the 700W and 700P soon. Don't know if you would consider this a deal or not, but it is quite a bit cheaper than what they have been. Probably had to, since Sprint/Verizon have all the new stuff, that is probably all they could do.

I'm still REALLY torn between picking up a Cingular 650 (contract up in 4 days), or going to Sprint for the 700p. All these rumors about a GSM 700 version, Hollywood, ... who knows when that will happen, have heard everything from June/July to maybe by the end of this year.
Sprint wholesaler has a great deal on eBay ($100) ...... but I know my dumb luck would be that a Cingular GSM, sleek new thin phone would become available and I'm stuck in another 2 year contract. Life stinks. lol

I really don't expect Cingular to offer anything new until they get their High Speed data infrastructure in place. From what I have been reading, that won't be until fall. Even then, it won't be available just anywhere, but they will probably introduce new phones that do support it. And Sprint does seem to have decent data pricing much better than Cingular's current PDANet that is very overpriced in my opinion. If Sprint has good coverage in your area, and you got the money in your pocket . . . . .

Thanks for the reply Stillrockin ....... I'm pretty much tempted by the Sprintnetwork pricing ($80-100) ... and jump to Sprint.
Hope it's not too far off topic - but how does Sprint's Power Vision (??) compare to Cingular's PDA data plans (not price .... just performance). Really not sure how to interpret Sprint's different levels of Power Vision.

The honest truth, I am sprint ignorant! But there are several around here that aren't. I believe that PowerVision is quite a bit faster than Cingular's Edge Techology however!
Cingular has been good to me! They have a terrible rep for CS, don't offer insurance on their PDA's (Sprint Does!) but I do like the rollover minutes thing, and my whole family is on the Cingular network, so that saves even more. I have about 15 months to go on my current contract, so I am trying my best to be content with my 650 and Cingular. If I were replacing it today, I would certainly be considering Sprint and the 700P. My only reservation with Sprint is the coverage they offer here in my home area. I have a few buds with them, and they all complain often about no signal in places where I have close to full . . .
