I am running XP x64, which Palm does not support. I can't install the software that came with my treo. Is there any way to get this thing up and running, or am I going to have to take advantage of Cingular's 30-day trial?
The problem is installing Palm Desktop on my PC. I get an error that says:
"Error 1719: The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. ..."
Ok so the problem is the Palm Desktop it self... sorry I didn't read it right the first time. Have you search for that particular problem at http://www.palm.com/us/support/ ?

They don't support x64. I actually don't have office installed on my computer right now. Will I be able to sync using outlook without palm's software, or does it need the drivers?
