Auto-Anwer w/ headset even when disabled

Ok, I have a Sprint 650. Software is up to date. I just got a Moto H300 headset. The kind that used a AAA battery. Its working ok but, when a call comes in the headset automagically answers immediatly after THE HEADSET starts ringing.

If i press the CALL button on the HEADSET twice after ending a call or when idle. The headset will not auto answer for a minute or 2. It will of corse resume answering after some time elapses.

AUTO ANSWER is DISABLED. So before you post a message telling me to disable that. Please take note of this and remember it will not be helpful.

This behavior is not acceptable. What could be causing this? Should I reset the phone? Dont really wanna do that AGAIN. what a pain it is to reinstall everything one program at a time.
