Hi everyone I am new here, and a second time owner of a Palm device. I had a T2 Palm for a year, and then gave it to my wife when I purchased my dream phone, " Treo 650 ", Man I love this phone. First thing I did was buy a 2 gig SD card for it, for all my video's and music, and the list goes on.

Well I have for the most part have had not much trouble handling all the apps, and having as much fun as a human can have, and keep my clothes on. But I am having one delimma, my Avantgo account and all the files are loaded into the internal memory of the phone, and it is taking up about half the memory up, and when I look at what is on the memory of the phone , it is there, but then go to copy it to my " Mega Card " it is not there, so to say the least I really want to keep the Avantgo stuff, cause I do not have the income ( three kids, two of them teenage boy's ) there is not the money for all the bells and whistles of using the National Network, but if I can't get the files on the card, I will get rid of them.

Hi Dan:

If you go to the Treo "Home" screen you should see an icon for AGConnect. Click on that and then select "Settings". The third choice is "Use Card:____" and you should see the name of your card. Select it and make sure the option to "Refresh All Content" is also selected and sync away.

It has been awhile, but I think that is what I had to do. Also make sure you are using the correct version of Avantgo, made for Palm OS 5.0. I believe it may be up to v6.0, but I am using v5.7.

What about the use card selection. Would not that need to be selected as well?

Thanks Steve for your reply, but it did not work. When I go to " Delete App" tab in the list is Avantgo with 8000K in the phone memory, and that is around 6 or 7 Megs or so, and that leaves me with 8 Megs of memory on the phone, would love to get it on the card.

I have the current version of Avantgo running also.

So does anyone else have a suggestion????

I just read that if you use zLauncher you can run Avantgo from your card. To get it to work right, you need to leave agconnect on the Treo's internal memory. That's all I know about it. I have never used zLauncher so I cannot help further.

I use avantgo from the internal memory and never tried this. So play at your own risk.

Hi Dan:

Are you trying to move the app itself? I think the app has to be in memory, but the daily data downloads are what I store on the card. On my device the Avantgo program takes up 981K, certainly not the 8000K you see. Moving the data downloaded each day reduces the internal memory used for the program, but I am not sure you can run the program from a card.

Some applications cannot be run from cards.

If I misunderstood your original question, I apologize.
