    Default battery issues?

    Hello.

I just got a treo 650 today (from ebay) and it's been charging since 12:30 and its 4:30 now and it still says Your Battery is almost Empty, shutting down in...

shouldn't it at least be half way charged now or are they just slower than I'm use to? My blackberry will full charge in a few hours. :embarassed:

When the charger is plugged in your status light should be red for charging. Green is fully charged. An hour of charge should have your phone around 50%, all night for full charge.

I have found that Palm devices will take only few hours to fully charge. While I have NEVER used a Blackberry, it should be about the same.

On the "fitting issue," be certain that it is not a malfunctioning receptacle on the device itself or the part of the adapter which is inserts directly into the device. I have found that the most common problem is with the adapter. The copper "prongs" becoming warn out and require either a minor adjustment or full unit replacement. This also tends to happen with the part of the USB cable which connects directly with the device. Mine require constant replacement/adjustment due to heavy usage. Yet another reason for having a TRP and pay the additional charge. Believe me when I say that I get my money's worth be it a replacement device or the various associated accessories.
